MAHOGHANY ARTISTNATION, a DMV native, is an enthusiastic dreamer without apology and an all around creative. Mahoghany took center stage for the very first time at age 4, captivating audiences with her larger than life stage presence and undeniable energy & is still going strong.

While it's true that “Love Jones” poetry events led to her birthing her very own poetry album Heartfelt...it was live theatre that inspired her to write/direct/produce her very first stage play Love, Laugh & Live to Create, followed by sophomore project...Happiness for Survival with an all women cast.

After attending the ABFF she was once again moved to live out loud by producing documentary Beautiful Eclipse…about black women who love their dark skin. It wasn't long before her bold, bubbly personality, colorful commentary, dope poetry and unapologetic fashion fierceness led her to opportunities to host way cool events/venues such as Pier Six & The Meyerhoff for artists such as Musiq Soulchild/Jaheim and the list goes on.

Mahoghany is no stranger to hard work and shows no signs of slowing down. For the past 20 years she credits her passion for her ability to serve multiple communities in various capacities. Mahoghany is both humbled by and grateful for each and every opportunity that has come her way because it allows her the time and space to not only entertain but inspire and enlighten individuals and organizations alike, shining light on the need for the arts to be nourished because it celebrates and champions dreamers and endless possibilities.
